I completely relate to and empathize with the words of wisdom shared in this video. Every day that I am in pain I feel like I'm adrift at sea in a storm. The most helpful thing for me to do is to focus on the things that drive me forward. This helps me to push past the debilitating affects of the pain. Although the pain doesn't go away, it does calm the storm down at least a little bit. Every bit of pain relief gained is an accomplishment and a reason to be happy. Joy can be a hard thing to experience when you have chronic pain. I have had to retrain my brain to appreciate the accomplishments I make each day and to give myself credit for them. I have changed my way of accessing the things I am able to do each day and the things I am not able to do because of pain. These changes to the way I access myself each day has helped me to feel more joy each day. I hope that everyone can allow themselves to feel joy and accomplished for the things they are able to do everyday. We have to forgive ourselves when we are just not able to do as much. Thanks for creating this website and continuing to strive to find ways to help people, especially those in chronic pain. Keep up the wonderful work you're doing here. The more people know the debilitating affects of chronic pain and affect on peoples lives, the more we can all strive to find effective treatment options and the more empathy we can have for those who are suffering.
